UK PASSPORT SERVICES
Onestep Visa Services is officially accredited with the UK Passport Agency. We are able to assist you so that you can avoid considerable delays and unnecessary paperwork particularly at busy and seasonal times of the year.
We can normally process a passport application in 7 working days for a new passport, and either 7 days or same day for renewals (though only a limited number of appointments are available for same day service). Applications for second passports can be processed in 7 working days.
Procedure & Application Requirements:
1. In order for Onestep Visa to aid you with your passport application and to ensure your application does not incur unnecessary delay please follow these simple guidelines;
- Complete a UK Passport Application Form available from the Post Office. (Onestep Visa Account Holders can contact us directly for forms)
- The form should be completed in BLACK INK.
- ALL the necessary questions MUST be answered. Please refer to the Passport Office Notes Booklet for more details.
- Your signature must be within the given parameters.
- 2 Photographs meeting the standard requirements: recent, in colour and on a white background. The photos must be identical and must adhere to the passport office regulations. Where applicable, only ONE photo must be counter signed. Your counter signatory must be a professional and should have known the applicant for 2 years. Please refer to the Passport Office Notes Booklet for more details.
2. Please download and sign the UK Passport Authorisation Letter, this provides with authorisation to collect your passport from Passport Agency. This letter can be found under our Visa section/country listed under “Passport Section”.
3. Download and complete the Onestep Visa Order Form, this again can be found under Visa/Country Section under listed under “UK Passport Section”. Alternatively you may download our order form by clicking any country under the visa section; all pages have “Download Onestep Visa Order Form” listed at the top of the page.
4. Sending us the completed documents: We recommend that if you are sending documents by post within the United Kingdom, to use Royal Mail Special Delivery. Alternatively via secure courier. Please ensure all required documents are enclosed:
- Passport Application From

- UK Passport Authorisation Letter for collection purposes
- All required documentation according to type of passport service required.
1. First UK Passport (Adult)
Please Note: Form April 2007, you may be required to attend an interview as part of your new adult passport application process. Once your application is sent, you will informed by letter notifying you of your interview. Please note that these new measures may cause a further delay in your application process.
As of 1st June 2007 adult's who wish to obtain their first passport must contact the passport office on 08705210410 and make an appointment.

The passport office recommends leaving six weeks for processing first time adult passports, and strongly advises against making travel arrangements until they have received their new passport.
Due to these reasons it is only possible for Onestep Visa to obtain new passports for CHILDREN. The Identity & Passport Service considers an adult to be someone over the age of 16.
2. First UK Passport (Child)
Please read the following information carefully;
Requirements per person:
- Completed application form – To be completed correctly, within the given parameters and in BLACK INK. It is recommended the form is filled in by applicant & applicant’s mother.
- 2 Photographs meeting the standard requirements. Only one photo must be countersigned, on plain white background less then one month old. The photos must be identical and must adhere to the passport office regulations. Please refer to the Passport Office Notes Booklet for more details.
- Supported documents –
- For applicants born in the UK;
- Forward Parent's Passport(s) that child is already on.
- Original Birth or Adoption Certificate AND
- Evidence of Mother’s claim to British nationality – This can be shown through her British Passport number, birth certificate or Home Office certificate of registration or naturalisation; OR your father’s claim to British nationality and all those previously mentioned AND his marriage certificate.
- Evidence of your parent’s immigration status at the time of your birth. This can be shown by either one of their passport’s and marriage certificate.
- For applicants born outside the UK;
- Full British Consular or High Commission birth certificate showing your Parent’s details AND your UK Passport OR
- Your birth certificate AND your parent’s marriage certificate or your Mother’s OR Father’s Home Office certificate of naturalisation or registration and the passport you entered the UK in.
- If the applicant is 17 years of age, they will need parental consent in order to renew their passport.
- If the child’s application form is signed by their father, a marriage certificate or letter of authorisation will be required by the child’s mother.
- All applicants must complete and include a letter of authorisation to lodge and collect on applicants behalf. This should be signed by the parent who completes section 9 of the application form. A letter of authorisation can be found in 'UK PASSPORT SECTION' of this website, there is a quick link on our homepage.
Please Note:
- If you are applying for a Child Passport and they were born after July 1, 2006, it is not necessary to send the Father’s Marriage certificate.
- The Identity and Passport Service may request further documentation from the applicant, to confirm identity and child’s right to British Nationality. If this is required, it will be advised when application is lodged.
- If the person counter signing has not know the applicant for more then 2 years or more then they must certify that they have known the applicants mother for 2 years or more.

3.Passport Renewal Adult/Child
There are 2 service provided for renewal of a passport:
- Premium service – This will take approximately 6-7 days to process.
- Fast track service – This will take approximately 10 days to process.
Passport forms can be attained either form our office or from any post office. Please read the following information carefully; and depending on whether you are applying a adult or child passport refer to the additional requirements relevant to application.
Requirements per person:
- Passport: The expired/ or due to expire.
- Completed original passport application form – The form must be filled in correctly and the signature must be within the given parameters, in black ink.
- 2 Passport Photographs recently taken on a white background. The photos must be identical and must adhere to the passport office regulations. Please refer to the Passport Office Notes Booklet for more details.
- A letter of authority for an Onestep Visa Services representative to collect your passport. This is can be downloaded from ‘UK PASSPORT SECTION’ on our homepage under quick links.
Adult
Additional Requirements:
- The Passport Office requires that photos must be less than 30 days old, on a plain white background. Additionally they should be different to photos in the previous or existing passport.
- If applicant’s appearance has changed noticeably then one photo and the application for from must be counter signed.
- A counter signature will also be required if the applicants passport has been damaged in anyway.
Child
Additional Requirements:
- The Passport Office requires that photos must be less than 30 days old, on a plain white background. Additionally they should be different to photos in the previous or existing passport.
- If applicant’s appearance has changed noticeably then one photo and the application for from must be counter signed.
- A counter signature will also be required if the applicants passport has been damaged in anyway.
Please note:
- This service is available only to those children who have already been issued a 5 year passport previously.
- Further credentials/evidence may be required by the Passport Office to confirm the child’s identity and right to British Nationality. In such case, we will be advised when the application is submitted to the Passport Office.
COUNTER SIGNATURE:
The person counter signing the application form/photo must ensure section 10 is fully completed on the application form.
Additional Important Information:
(Please note that if the applicant was under the age of 16 when the first passport was issued, the form and ONE of the photographs must be countersigned by a professional who has known the applicant for 2 years.)
Please also note that applicants that are 17 years of age will need parental consent in order to renew their passport.
The Identity & Passport Service considers a child to be 16 years of age or under.
It is possible for an express application to be made. In order to do so you will have to provide the following
- Proof of travel – This can be in the form of a plane ticket or itinerary.
- Letter of urgency from applicant confirming travel date.

4. New Second UK Passport
Passport Forms & Guidance Notes can either be obtained from your local Post Office or ordered on-line at the Identity & Passport Services website: http://www.passport.gov.uk/apprequest.asp Please do not use the online forms with text input facility, as these are not accepted for Premium and Fast Track Service.
Please read the following information carefully;
Requirments per person:
- Completed passport application form – The form must be filled in correctly and the signature must be within the given parameters.
- 2 recently taken passport photos (no longer then 30 days old) taken on a white background. The photos must be identical and must adhere to the passport office regulations. Please refer to the Passport Office Notes Booklet for more details.
- A company letter on headed paper that includes the following:
- A list of least SIX countries which are frequently travelled to and which require a visa.
- Detailing and emphasising any problems that occur when travelling to these countries on one passport.
- It is advisable if the letter clearly states that it requires “A Second United Kingdom Passport that is valid for 10 years”.
- The letter must be signed by the Managing or Company Director.
- A letter of authority for an Onestep Visa Services representative to collect your passport.
- One Photocopy of your current Passport.
It is possible for an express application to be made. In order to do so you will have to provide the following
- Proof of travel – This can be in the form of a plane ticket or itinerary.
- Letter of urgency from applicant confirming travel date.

5. Renewal Second UK Passport

6. Renewal Second Jumbo Passport

Please read the following information carefully;

- Completed original passport application form – The form must be filled in correctly and the signature must be within the given parameters.
- Enclose Second Passport to be renewed.
- *2 recently taken passport photos taken on a white background, no more than 30 days old, one photo to be counter signed. The two photos must be identical and must adhere to the passport office regulations. Please refer to the Passport Office Notes Booklet for more details.
- A company letter on headed paper that includes the following:
- A list of least SIX countries which are frequently travelled to and which require a visa.
- Detailing and emphasising any problems that occur when traveling to these countries on one passport.
- It is advisable if the letter clearly states that it requires “A Second United Kingdom Passport that is valid for 10 years”.
- The letter must be signed by the Managing or Company Director.
- A letter of authority for an Onestep Visa Services representative to collect your passport.
- One photocopy of your current Passport. (The information page of passport to be copied).

7. Name Change
This application for name change apply if you have changed your name by Deed Pole or you are to married or forming a civil partnership in the United Kingdom, and will be going abroad immediately after the ceremony. In such cases the UK Passport Service can issue you with a ten-year passport post dated into your new name up to three months in advance of wedding or civil ceremony date.

- One of the following original documents must be supplied:
- Deed Pole Certificate
- Marriage Certificate
- *PD1 & PD2 (Post Date) Forms- must be signed by the clergy/registrar prior to marriage. (These forms can be found on our ‘UK PASSPORT SECTION’ under quick links on the Onestep Visa website homepage alternatively from select Post Office branches).
- Decree Absolute & Birth Certificate (if reverting to maiden name after divorce).
- A letter of authority for an Onestep Visa Services representative to collect your passport.
*Post Dating Application Form:
PLEASE NOTE:
If you decide to take the option of post dating your passport to your new name, you should be aware that:
- You will need to submit your current passport along with your application form.
- This passport will be canceled, and you will no longer be able to use it for traveling.
- Your new post dated passport will be valid only from the date of your ceremony.
- You will not be able to use your new passport until your ceremony has taken place.
*Post Date Forms Procedure: PD01 & PD02
- Part 1 of the PD02 form should be completed by the person who is to perform the ceremony.
- Part 2 of the PD02 form should be completed by the applicant. Applicant must fill this form out using their current name and signature and not your full name.
*Passport Application Form Procedure
- Applicant must complete the form in full using the name they wish to assume, and sign it in what will be their new name
- If your features have changed, and form needs to be countersigned, the person who countersigns your application should endorse the back of one of your photographs. Instructions on how to do this are on the PD01 Form available to download from the ‘UK PASSPORT SECTION’ under quick links on our homepage.

8. Lost/Misplaced Passports
Please read the following information carefully;
Requirements per person:
- Completed application form – To be completed correctly, within the given parameters and in BLACK INK.
- 2 Photographs meeting the standard requirements. The photos must be identical (no older then 30 days) and must adhere to the passport office regulations. Only 1 photograph should be signed by a professional that has known the applicant for 2 years. Please refer to the Passport Office Notes Booklet for more details.
- Original birth certificate. If there has been a name change then a marriage certificate will also be required. If the original birth certificate is not available, a previous passport or photocopy of it may suffice.
- If the applicant is 17 years of age, they will need parental consent.
- If the child’s application form is signed by their father, a marriage certificate or letter of authorisation will be required by the child’s mother.
- All applicants must now complete and submit an ‘LS01’ Lost or Stolen Notification Form with their application. This is available on our website; please click ‘UK PASSPORT SECTION’ in quick links on the homepage t download the form.
- A letter of authority for an Onestep Visa Services representative to collect your passport. (This is available for download under ‘UK PASSPORT SECTION’, a quick link on our website homepage will take you to the relevant document).
PLEASE NOTE:
It is not possible to provide express services for this type of application due to the enquiries and checks the Identity & Passport Service have to carry out before issuing a replacement passport.
