Requirements per person:

• Application Form:

There are two ways to complete the visa application form for India:

Option 1:

For full instructions on how to complete the form please click on the download link above labelled ‘India Online Application Instructions’. Please note online forms expire 12 days after completion.

Option 2:  

Allow us to complete the complex online application form for you, by simply completing the printable India Visa Application Form, and then sending this to us along with your passport and any other requirements. Please ensure that form is completed in black ink, signed and dated.

• Additional Form for Non UK Passport Holders:

· All applicants who have lived in the UK for less than 2 years must either complete an additional 'non-residents' form. Or provide proof of residents with utility bills: one recent and one more than a 2 years old, with the applicants name and address, or have UK residency stamp inside their passport.

· All non-resident applications will be referred (processing time will increase to approximately 15 working days). The address on the non-resident form must be outside the UK.

• Photographs – Two recent identical passport size colour photos.

• Business letter from your company should be addressed to the Embassy and must include the following;

1. The nature of the trip.

2. Duration of the trip. (E.g.UK company letter and invitation must request 'Business 1 Year or 2 Year Multiple Entry visa')

3. Written declaration that the company will take financial responsibility.

• Invitation letter citing the purpose and duration of the trip

Invitation must request 'Business 1 Year Multiple Entry Visa' if applying for a visa valid for more than 6 months & state duration of first trip. Those who have not had a previous visa and do not state 6 month multiple, will only be issued with a 1 month single.

• Passport:

- Please ensure that your passport is valid 190 days beyond your stay, with at least two blank pages.

- The embassy is now rejecting all applications where the passport supplied has a page(s) which is torn.

Important Information:

Visa Requirements:

- The applicant’s full name must be stated on all supporting documents as per their passport.

- Applicants attending a conference cannot apply for this visa, any applications which state “attending conference” on any supporting letters will automatically be issued with a 3 month single entry visa by the India consulate. (Please see our India Conference Visa’ Section, for further information if you are requiring this type of visa).

Applicants’ Occupation Notes:

- Applicants whose occupation is "Director", must state for what kind of company.

- Applicants who state "police officer" as an occupation and are traveling as tourists MUST include a letter from the head of their department stating their full name and confirming that they are traveling as tourists only.

- Applicants with Media/ Charity/Journalist related occupations: All applications will be referred (processing time may increase to as long as 12 weeks) and cost an additional £10.00).

Visa requests over 6 months:

*May only be issued to travelers who have held a 6 month multiple entry business visa obtained through the embassy in London. If the earlier visa is not in your current passport, then the previous passport with the Indian visa must be supplied. If your visa request does not meet these guidelines Onestep Visa will automatically apply for the longest term visa possible without contacting you for approval.

Proof of Online Payment

Clients that pre-pay the visa fee online MUST provide proof of this with their application in the form of the HSBC payment confirmation which is generated. Onestep Visa has no other way of knowing without this proof and will have to pay the non-refundable visa fee again at VFS and charge the clients accordingly.

Visa Information

Visa is valid for up to 6 months.

Maximum duration of stay is up to 6 months from date of issue.

• Business letter : An of the letter from the institution represented in the UK

• Invitation letter from the conference organiser.

A copy or original of the signed letter of invitation from the conference organiser in India

A copy of clearance from the competent authority in India where required.

• Passport:

Journalist going to India for tourism:

Apart from the above requirements the applicant will also need to submit the below:-

1. Letter from the employer stating the purpose of travel.

2. An undertaking stating that the applicant will not do any media or media-related work during his/ her stay in India.

2. Download & Complete Onestep Visa Order Form

3. Ensure all documents required for processing your application are enclosed prior to mailing; including your Passport (depending on service required), the Embassy Application Form and Onestep Visa Order Form, and cheque (if paying by cheque).

4. Post/Courier all documents via secure delivery method to our address. (We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery).

Payment

Calculating Total Fees:

Calculate by adding Embassy Fees, including where applicable: Embassy Express Fees, and our Onestep Visa Service Charge, and finally the Delivery Cost (this may be variable according to the type of delivery requested; otherwise the standard Royal Mail Special Delivery cost applies). VAT not applicable.

* Please note: The amount calculated is the expected; approximate fee, other charges maybe applicable depending on the service required. Additionally, please be aware that the embassies fees often change overnight without prior notice, please read our disclaimer.

Payment Methods:

We accept all major credit cards except American Express & Diners Club cards, their will be a 2.5% Card Transaction Fee applicable on the total final amount. Our order form has further details in the payment section for card types accepted. We also accept cheques, which should be made payable to 'Onestep Visa Services Ltd.' Please note, with regards to cheques, we can only return your passports/documents, once your cheque payment has been cleared. Customers wishing faster visa processing are advised to pay by card.

Delivery

Royal Mail Special Delivery £6.00 Charge

Your Visa, Passport or Documents will be returned to you via Royal Mail Special Delivery unless otherwise stated on the Onestep Visa Order Form.
